How to Get IPTV on Your Samsung Smart TV (2026 Guide)
Samsung Smart TVs are among the most popular televisions in Canada. Setting up IPTV takes about five minutes once you have your subscription credentials.
What you need
- Samsung Smart TV running Tizen OS (2017 or newer)
- Stable internet connection (25 Mbps or faster)
- IPTV subscription with an M3U URL or Xtream Codes login
Method 1 — Smart IPTV app (recommended)
- Open the Samsung App Store on your TV
- Search for “Smart IPTV” and install it
- Open the app — it displays your TV’s MAC address
- Go to siptv.eu on a computer and enter the MAC address
- Paste your TiviLeaf M3U URL and save
- Channels will load automatically on your TV within minutes
Method 2 — IPTV Smarters via browser
Some Samsung models support sideloading apps through the built-in browser. Visit the IPTV Smarters website on your TV browser, download the APK, and enter your Xtream Codes credentials. This method works on Tizen 4.0 and above.
Method 3 — Use a Firestick or Android box
If your Samsung TV is older (pre-2017) or you want the most reliable experience, plug a Firestick or Android TV box into the HDMI port. This gives you full IPTV support regardless of TV model and costs $40–$60.
Tips for smooth streaming
- Connect your TV via ethernet instead of Wi-Fi when possible
- Clear the IPTV app cache every few weeks (Settings → Apps → app name → Clear Cache)
- Restart the TV weekly to free up memory
Frequently asked questions
Will IPTV work on my 2015 Samsung TV?
Older Tizen versions have limited app support. A Firestick plugged into the HDMI port is the most reliable workaround for TVs older than 2017.
Do I need an internet plan just for the TV?
No. Your existing home Wi-Fi or a single ethernet connection is sufficient.
