How to Install IPTV on Xiaomi Mi TV & Mi Box in Canada
Follow these simple steps to safely bypass restrictions and install the media player on your Xiaomi Mi TV, Mi Box S, or Mi TV Stick.
Free up space before you install.
Mi Boxes and Mi Sticks only have 8GB of total storage, which fills up quickly. If your device is full, the installation will fail.
Go to Settings (Gear Icon) → Device Preferences → Storage and clear your Cached Data. Ensure you have at least 500MB of free space before starting.

Common Xiaomi setup issues
These quick fixes solve the most common Xiaomi Mi TV, Mi Box S, and Mi Stick installation problems.
The “App Not Installed” error
Xiaomi devices sometimes block installations through Google Play Protect. Open the Google Play Store, go to your Profile → Play Protect → Settings, and temporarily turn off Scan apps with Play Protect while you install the media player.
App not showing on the home screen
If the app does not appear in your main row, scroll to the far right of your apps row, click the + icon, and pin the player to your favorites.
Buffering on Mi Box S
The Mi Box S relies fully on Wi-Fi. If you see buffering on fast Canadian internet connections such as Rogers or Bell, a basic USB-to-Ethernet adapter usually fixes most connection drops immediately.
